The meditation Cabin addresses the challenge of still connecting to nature while being sheltered. With the inner wall retracting and extending on track, the cabin can be open up to its surrounding nature when desire. Or be closed off to be sheltered from various weather conditions. The rotating wall is complete by a mesh, improving air circulation and preventing unwanted entry of bugs attracted by fire.
The air flows in and out through the center, igniting the “inner fire”. Not just in our bodies but also the cabin as well. The concept of this meditation cabin is of how energy flows around the human body creating an energy field. A paved stone base creates paths allowing better airflow to the centre fire. The stone base can also act as thermal mass, providing passive heating by storing and releasing heat.
Inner walls and outer walls compose of charred wood mullions with green coated glass panels. Besides the Greenery of the surroundings, the shifted green light recharges and balance the meditators heart chakra. That is because the green colour resonates with the heart chakra and its correlation to nature.
Ps: It also goes with the name, “Tiny Kiwi”.
